Thank you for sharing some important thoughts which challenges many of us in the 12 step programs. Yes, it is important to me personally, to me for friends who are struggling in the program, and to me to the greater benefit of our world wide community. Thank you.
As I reflect over the article, the passage which resonates most to my inner being today addresses the negative comments ("simply telling the truth") of some meetings merely being perceived as expressions of dissatisfaction. Your well chosen words not only disarm the negativity but usher in the positive life changing perspective which characterized the intent of every meeting.
In my critical editorial review for scientific merit, I find exception with the word "most" in the second introductory paragraph. I was looking for the citation, lol. I doubt your readership shares my scrutiny. Finally, a typo, compete instead of complete abstinence at the end of question 9.
